Well in about an hour and a half from now, if you find yourself near Moscow, Russia, you can get a glimpse of that mysterious planet with rings we all love, namely Saturn.
All you have to do is find the East and look a little upwards and you should see the blurry dot that is Saturn. Enjoy!

Please take a look at this wonderful film from APOD
I think it’s one of the best quality ones out there. Also, I think that it explains itself, but if you’d like to know more please post your questions.

Scary news again from NASA’s space calendar - Asteroid 2007 VW7 flew very close to Earth today, reaching the distance of 0.056 AU.
That’s got to be close!

Here’s something I dug up again from the APOD archives. It’s something we all know, but I won’t tell you what it is at the moment.
I expect your guesses here

Great news for almost 2 billion of us or even more – the NASA space calendar announces us that the Chang'e 1 spacecraft has successfully entered lunar orbit. Chang'e 1 is part of a PRC space program that involves orbiting around the Moon and landing eventually in the future. Right now it’s in the phase of robotic exploration but the next steps will involve humans, so I guess China is making up for the lost time in the “space race”.
NASA get your astronauts to Mars already! You can find more information about Chang'e 1 around here. |
